John Pascal was a most successful young scientist, and a racing shell rowing master. John did a terrific job solving the X-ray structure of the toxin called ebulin and then solved the structure of TB-RBP. In 2002 he moved to Harvard to work in Tom Ellenberger’s lab where I’m sure he is cutting a wide swath. I’m sure he is also charming the Boston ladies. He told me the winter of 02-03 is mighty harsh for a country boy from South Carolina, but he is persevering. He also sent a couple of photos of himself at the oars, which you can see here and here.
